According to the November “U.S. Core Search Rankings” released by ComScore on Monday both Bing gained 0.5% market share in US search volume. The study provided insight into search volume market share in the U.S. for the 5 major search engines– I realize it sounds funny saying “5 major search engines”… especially when one of the five (AOL) is “enhanced” by another on the list (Google).
Perhaps, most interesting was that both Google and Bing gained market share while Yahoo, AOL and ASK all lost share. Which provides further evidence the aggressive marketing campaigns by Microsoft are stealing searches from Yahoo… while not having a significant impact on Google… for now.
